Fresco Barn, Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture, Maine
This painting is hopefully still installed at the Skowhegan School. Every year, residents are given the opportunity to learn fresco, one of the worlds oldest (and usually most permanent) forms of mural painting. Artists may create a piece on site in the Fresco Barn, if they choose. The Barn is the gathering hall where internationally acclaimed artists give lectures to each summer's 65 residents. Every year, old frescoes get torn down and new ones go up. Average life-span = 4-8 years. If you're in the area, check it out before it is destroyed.
